Meet your Alpine guide at the Etna Travel Service office in Piano Provenzana (1,800 m) on the northern slope of Mount Etna, and depart aboard latest-generation 4x4 off-road vehicles for a unique adventure.
The first stop will be at the ruins of the Le Betulle Hotel, the only visible structure among those destroyed by the 2002 lava flow. Continue towards the impressive Umberto and Margherita craters, where you will enjoy a light trek at حوالي 2,380 meters.
Then proceed to the volcanological observatory of Pizzi Deneri (2,818 m), followed by a short 15-minute trek to the top of the promontory. If weather conditions allow, you will be able to admire the Aeolian Islands, the Ionian coast from Syracuse to Taormina, the Gulf of Giardini-Naxos, and the Calabrian coast.
Observe the summit craters dominating the majestic Valle del Bove from a safe distance.
Once back on board, continue towards the area of the 2002 eruption with its characteristic buttonhole craters. Enjoy views of the lava flows before returning to Piano Provenzana.
